Updates for April 2024

Easter egg hunts are back! We've started updating the info for this year. Unfortunately MOST wait until the last minute (often just a week before) to publish their dates, times and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in. We expect pages to be up to date by mid-March.

When we CONFIRM an event for 2024, the date will be highlighted in pink, like this passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.
Hunts that were held in the past year or 2 but not yet confirmed for this year are in orange.
The ones NOT in either orange or pink are more dubious - held in the past but not confirmed in the past few years, so just our best guess! These you must call or email to confirm before you go.

Or use their site search for "Easter". Do let them know you found them here, so they will update us next year. Since many egg hunts do not publish the current year's dates until the very last minute, or simply never respond to email, we may not get their current information, which is why we have links to their websites, Facebook pages and calendars. Bounce houses! Playground! Games! Hot dogs and more! It will be a fun-loaded spring-fest for the whole family! at our north soccer field for our Community Easter Egg Hunt at 11:30a, with food, inflatables, and door prizes available starting at 11a. There will be separate hunting zones for ages 2-3, 4-5, and grades 1-3 and 4-6.

Summit Lake State Park, 5993 N Messick Rd, New Castle, IN 47362. Email: dnrwebmaster@dnr.IN.gov. Event date and time: Friday, March 23, 2024 from 12 pm to 3 pm. Weather permitting. Free with Standard Park Admission. Come out and celebrate Easter with an Easter egg hunt! Over 2,000 eggs are used during this event. The event is free with park admission. This event will take place at the Nature Center and Harvey Shelter. Noon - Face Painting, Games, and the Easter Bunny. Cotton candy, popcorn, and drinks available for a small fee. Donations go to the Nature Center and naturalist programs. 1 p.m. (sharp) - Egg Hunt. Kids ages 1-4, 5-8, and 9-14 will have separate hunting areas.
