Updates for April 2024

Easter egg hunts are back!

We've started updating the info for this year. Unfortunately MOST wait until the last minute (often just a week before) to publish their dates, times and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in. We expect pages to be up to date by mid-March.

1. When we CONFIRM an event for 2024, the date will be highlighted in pink, like this passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.
2. Hunts that were held in the past year or 2 but not yet confirmed for this year are in orange.
3. The ones NOT in either orange or pink are more dubious - held in the past but not confirmed in the past few years, so just our best guess! These you must call or email to confirm before you go.

ALWAYS click the links to check date and time with the event's own website, as there are often last minute cancellations, postponements or changes to locations due to weather, COVID or logistical problems, just click on the link to the event's website and (in most cases), you want to click on the "events" link or "calendar" link on their website. Or use their site search for "Easter". Do let them know you found them here, so they will update us next year. Besides egg hunts, there are also Easter breakfasts and brunches and Easter parades to watch!

Complete the trail and earn your chocolate reward at the end. We know how much joy our Easter egg trails bring to our visitors each year and we hope this year will be the same. However, we ask that you support your local property and tickets must be booked in advance. Easter Adventures in Nature. Adventure across the parkland at Basildon Park in search for fun family activities in nature as you earn your way to a delicious easter prize. Each trail pack will include a trail, a pencil and a chocolate easter egg. Please let the team know when you arrive if you would like an allergen free prize. Before visiting, please check local and national government guidance on travelling. You don’t need to book your Easter trails, but you will need to book your Easter visit. To manage visitor numbers so that social distancing can be ensured for the safety of our staff, volunteers and visitors, the pre-booking system still applies. Joining us for our annual Easter weekend celebrations come and be amazed by Circus Wellingtonia with shows at 11:00am, 1:30pm & 3:30pm in the Big Top Tent. This event is undercover and is limited to approximately 200 people per show. Please note shows cannot be pre-booked and is based on a first come first serve basis. Join in the fun trying to complete the obstacle course with Bunny Hop sacks, Bean Bag Tossing and Easter Egg and Spoon racing. We also have Easter Egg Bingo running throughout the Easter holidays. The Easter Bunny has hidden a number of colourful plastic eggs somewhere on our ‘Enchanted Walk™ trail - find 5 eggs with different colour combinations, take a photo of the five, and BINGO! Show your winning line of photos to our Ribberty Rabbit bingo caller in the Craft Corner and choose a sweet prize.
